The Draw Play

Hello everyone. Thank you for your years of readership. It’s been 4 years, and I’m 10 comics away from 500. I never thought I’d make it this far. The fact that I have is almost entirely thanks to you. The comic may be made by me, about my opinions and jokes, but at the end of it all, I make it for my readers. It’s a weird experience putting myself out there every week, knowing that plenty will disagree and call my stuff bad, but it’s worth it for those who like it. I’ve never asked much of you except to read my comic, and share it with others when you can.

But it’s gotten to the point where if I want to keep it going, I need a little help. The Draw Play is run on bare bones cheap servers, it barely holds together, and my equipment is failing. So while I appreciated everyone’s request that I start a gofundme or kickstarter for a new tablet, the bottom line is that I have more problems cropping up than just an old tablet. The tablet was just the first thing to go. So instead of asking for money for a new tablet, I’m asking for something slightly different. I’m asking for a more general type of help. I’m asking for you to support me on Patreon.

Here is my page.  You might also have noticed a button on the sidebar. In case you don’t know what Patreon is, it’s basically Kickstarter, but instead of funding a specific project or goal, you are funding the creator themselves, allowing them to keep doing what they want to do. Even if I get a new tablet, I might not be able to keep the Draw Play running. I’m not the type of person to ask for donations and help, but I’m humbly asking now, So I can keep bringing you comics every week and give you a place to discuss football.

On top of letting me cover the costs of keeping the site up and great, any funding will also go towards improving the site and bringing new content. I’m going to open a store one day, I swear (Please, let me know what kind of stuff you’d like to see if I made one!).

I also have some exciting news. I’m going to start a Podcast! I have a plan, I have a co-host (Former KSK writer RobotsFightingDinosaurs), and I will try to get the first episode up as soon as I can. Right now all I need is a good microphone and a little technical help. We already recorded one episode, but due to some old tech, I couldn’t export the file without it crashing. Any patronage you can offer will help alleviate these problems. I plan on it being a weekly thing, and look for it in the coming month should things work out the way I hope.
