Philip Rivers Needs A Babysitter

Most animals have some sort of designation term for a large grouping. A gaggle of geese. A murder of crows. A herd of buffalo. A litter of cubs/puppies/kittens/anything adorable. A pack of wolves. A school of fish. A swarm of insects. A flock of birds. What should we call a group of human children? 8 or more? I think we should call it…a mess. Philip Rivers has a messĀ of children. Works on multiple levels.
I wonder if Mrs. Rivers is pregnant again yet.
Maybe Antonio Cromartie can become his babysitter he is used to a mess of children
yeah, but not all in the same house
Should stayed with us Woodhead
Good point, Tom needs someone to through it to, I do find it funny that Woodhead is so small that you could mistake him for one of Rivers’ kids.
I just realized that should be throw
A team of broncos
A crew of raiders
A band of chiefs
A stable of chargers
A murder of ravens
A disappointment of browns
A streak of bengals
A factory of stealers
A rag of colts
A jamboree of jaguars
A pantheon of titans
An electorate of Texans
A herd of buffalo
A pod of dolphins
An army of patriots
A fleet of jets
A flock of seahawks
A claim dispute of 49ers
A flock of rams
A conclave of cardinals
A pride of lions
A sloth of bears
A union of packers
A horde of vikings
A posse of cowboys
A tribe of redskins
A convocation of eagles
A fist of giants
A communion of saints
A cast of falcons
A tango of buccaneers
There is literally no term for a group of Panthers, so I am advocating a Newton of Panthers.
A rush of 49ers probably works better, and now I’m sad I didn’t go with that first.
And that’s supposed to be a mob of rams. Done double/triple/whatever posting.
Its not just a “pack of panthers”?
A group of ravens is an unkindness, whereas a murder applies to crowns alone.
I submit “a clowder of panthers” since that’s the term for cats, so it sort of works. I also would have gone with “an aerie of eagles” because it sounds cooler. But then again, the Eagles probably don’t deserve to sound that cool.
The Buffalo Buffalos?
Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo.
Suggestion: A stack of Bills
A wad of bills
spelled Steelers wrong up there
An aerie is where eagles live, not a group of them. However, an Aerie Gang of Eagles is a group from the same nest/nesting group.
Panthers aren’t naturally pack animals; they are actually solitary cats, so there’s no official term for them.
I did not misspell the Stealers; I fixed it for accuracy for Super Bowls 40 and 43.
The Murder of Ravens was a poor-taste jab at Rayray more than a push for accuracy, but yes.
The Bills logo is a Buffalo. Good enough for me.
Chris, however, is absolutely right. Also: a group of only male lions is known as a coalition, so we’ll go with that, instead.
Thanks for the clarification. I learned a few things today!
While a pride is the official term for a group of lions, I’m not sure I would use that term to describe the Detroit Lions.
More like a Band Wagon of Patriots
An unemployment line of Oilers.
A river of Brady’s tears.
Why doesn’t Philip use uncle tv?
RINGLESS RIVERS
I think the oldest Rivers’ child would be 13 or 14 by now, certainly old enough to babysit the younger ones. Just one of the benefits of a large family.
Because that worked out well for themess of Daggers. >_>
That’s why the chargers wanna move, no one wants to babysit for Ringless Rivers.
Maybe they should be a River a of children?
Rivers married his special lady in 2001. At 10 months per child his wife has been pregnant for approximately 42% of their married life together so far…
dave already did the math for this rivers children…look at one of his old comics
I kept waiting and waiting for the alt text to pop up.
It didn’t pop up.
Now I’m sad.
Can’t believe this is Woodhead’s first appearance in TDP. Moar please
You know, I’m surprised no one made a comic about Manning’s retirement. His goodbye speech was really touching, too… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RlL_ZZ5xVQ
I KNEW WHAT IT WAS BUT I STILL CLICKED ON IT.

Antonio Cromartie and Phillip Rivers should set up a playdate for their children and try to take over the world with their combined strength.
First off, that was funny. My hat is off to you Dave.
Secondly, it’s kinda awesome to see your artwork progress. Comparing the Rivers in that sketch to the one from your original “Ringless Rivers” comics is like night and day. It is truly a pleasure to see you grow as an artist. I hope you keep doing this for a long time.
I’m not sure if this was the case for all of them, but I know the original Ringless Rivers comic was supposed to look sloppy (I won’t say bad, because nothing good can come out of bad). However, I did like his style in the Ringless Rivers comics a bit more than this.
Oh, and fun slightly relevant fact:
A group of Turtles is a “Bale”
A group of Donkeys is a “Pace”. A way to say that would be a “Pace of Asses” which is totally my new bands name.
XD
Maybe Rivers and Cromartie can get their children together on a play date and unite them to build an army to take over the world.
how come when a black man has a bunch of kids everyone is disrespectful but rivers does it and yall trying to get him a babysitter
Because Rivers is married to the woman who gave birth to all of them, and there’s no court-mandated action requiring him to pay for the children he has created?
The funniest part of this is Antonio gates playing basketball.
Well played.
Hey, did you know that Antonio Gates actually used to play basketball?
Oh my God no; I’ve never ever watched a quarter of Charger football where the announcer didn’t hesitate to remind everyone of that fact. ~Sarcasm
