I really, truly hate A.A. Ron Rodgers.
This isn’t a shot at you, Dave, because I’ve seen the same sentiment all over the place, from reporters to YouTubers to random fans. When he said, “I won’t hold the Green Bay Packers hostage,” I didn’t realize he was thinking BIGGER. It’s like the world called him a stupid co#&&$?!er and now he’s made us all take a darkness retreat with him.
We need to push back. Don’t wait on his dumb ass for a comic. Make one insulting the ever-loving bejeezus out of him, and then tag him on social media. He wants power, and everyone in the NFL world is giving it to him.
He’s terrified. If he goes to NY there is pressure, and the media will flay him alive, because he’s not the smartest person in the room anymore, and deep down he knows it. People should be calling him on that. He didn’t give the Jets a “wish list,” he’s trying to put obstacles in their way so the deal won’t go through and he can stay with the Packers for another cushy year, where his constant failure is met with “Oh well, you tried!”

But seriously, he’s an asshat and deserves all of it. I just watched him on McAfee. After all the lying he did about being “vaccinated”, I’m not buying ANY of it with this guy. It’s all spin spin spin. He spent way too much time whining about how the Packers told him to take his time and then suddenly – OUT OF NOWHERE – “SOMETHING” changed, and they started being MEAN TO HIM?
Then he says he was 90% leaning towards retirement in his double-wipe darkness retreat, but the Packers suddenly being mean changed everything? So you’re taking a year out of your life, putting your body through physical torture, relocating yourself… out of SPITE? Are you SERIOUS?
And then when he finally got down to it, he never – not once – denied giving the Jets a shopping list. He went on and on about how silly the idea is, and how Schefter asked him about it and he told him to lose his number. But he never once directly said anything along the lines of, “I did NOT give the Jets a shopping list expecting them to sign these people.”
I’m curious to see how the Packers reply, because at face value, I do not trust one word this mofo is saying.

Although it’s not one of the splashier free agent moves this week, Jakobi Meyers returning to the scene of the Poo Your Job play seems like it should merit a comic at some point this off season.

I’ve been thinking about that.
The narrative at the time was that Brett Favre was being a dick to Rodgers by not helping groom him as his replacement. I’m starting to wonder if Rodgers was a dick to Favre first. Both the mentor and the mentee have to respect one another.
Between the outward appearances of that situation and the constant fluffing Madden and others gave Favre, it wasn’t hard to dislike Favre. But the second one wasn’t his fault and the first one may not have been either. And unlike Rodgers, I don’t really recall any off-the-field weirdness either. Maybe Favre was the good guy all along.
I remember reading some reports that Rodgers was a pompous dick when he got to Green Bay, but the report came out in the past few years once his reputation started to turn, so take that with a grain of salt. Frankly it’s likely they were both egotistical dicks. The young hotshot and the established old star.

Makes perfect sense. What market is the polar opposite of Green Bay?

Hours after you put this out, he basically announces the decision. Even when you’re trying not to get jinxed, the universe finds a way to screw you over. Poor, poor Draw Play Dave, cursed by the gods.
This might just be proof that Aaron Rodgers reads this page and was waiting on Dave to mention him before immediately making a decision right after.

Good timing, seems he was waiting until Dave posted this to make his announcement. Well that and to make it on McAfees show. We heard reports before that the Jets and Packers had a general agreement already worked out. I wonder if those reports weren’t true or the teams are held up on the minor details now.
