Jay Cutler Sucks

I had to see this headline, so now you do too.
I debated putting Jay Cutler back as the Don’t Care Bear but it seemed off since he’s not actually a bear anymore. If I did, it would feel off. If I didn’t, it would feel off. Since I already made him the Dont Care Dolphin, it seemed natural to just make him Jay again, especially since he’s retired now and we’ll never see him again.
I will still do the Money comic for Russ for those waiting for it, I’m waiting till the dead zone after the draft to tackle it in maybe a big week-long series. A lot happened this offseason so far that requires addressing. Flacco moved, Foles got paid, Bort got cut, Russ got paid…shit needs a bunch of comics to properly get up to speed.

As a Bears fan, I’m fine with him forever being the “Don’t Care Bear”. It just fits too well.
As a Broncos fan, it’s weird to know that the rest of the NFL has legitimate reason to think of Cutler as a Bears player…
He was only on the Broncos for three seasons. That’s kind of surprising actually.
He was a Bear over 3x as long as he was a Bronco, Chicago mortgaged an entire draft to bring him in as their franchise QB, and he holds their team records for passing attempts, completions, passing yards, and passing touchdowns.
Either you only pay attention to your team, or your perceptions are out of step with reality.
Well yeah, that’s why I said “legitimate reason”. By all logical accounts he should be remembered as a Bear but it still feels weird.

I almost feel special. I mentioned this in the comments of the last comic. Of course, it was news. “JAY CUTLER SUCKED MORE THAN EVER”. Not new news, but still news.
