They initially had the Jets as their choice, but the Jets backed out at the last second. When they started planning/writing the movie, the Seahawks weren’t all that hot– their reputation has never been been all THAT great as a team– so it’s kind of a “Oh look. History is conspiring to make even movies about the Browns a giant factory of sadness.”
Considering this is a fictionalized world, I actually don’t have any issue with the draft order and “what teams sucks” and all that. It’s not really important at all to a fictional world, and the teams involved really don’t matter, they could replace it with the cowboys/giants/cardinals and none of it would impact the storyline any.
I had more of an issue with the completely stupid trades that happen in the movie and the story being kinda hollywood dumb
Those trades were horrible weren’t they? Well they did involve the Brown’s, Jags and the bizarro Seahawks so its not like smart people were making them.
Luckily for us, they’re probably not gonna show it in the UK. It looks terrible. Draft Day-with the exception of picks one to ten-is the most boring day of the NFL calander. Well, that and the Hall of Fame game.
This movie was so bad, me my only friend that loves football like I do, had a theater to ourselves to watch it in. AND I STILL REGRET IT. Worst, NFL movie EVER. Why reference real players and teams but then just make up a draft order and players currently playing. Hell, they even mention Geno Smith at one point!
Don’t the Seahawks have the first pick in the movie? I don’t think the movie people quite know how the draft order works.

Nice!
Cleveland Browns likely to fire Mike Pettine after poor performance in his role with the franchise as Kevin Costner, per Adam Schefter.
IF LA had a team this never would of happened.
