My Favorite Line
I wait eagerly every year until I see the line. Donald delivered.
I often wonder how often that line is actually true. It usually comes from a long veteran coming off injury rehab. I would probably guess that it’s true to an extent. A 30-year-old taking great care of themselves might still not be in as good a shape as a 22-year-old version of themselves, even if that 22-year-old had a worse diet and workout regimen. I take better care of myself now than I did when I was in my early 20’s, and I am still very much not in as good a shape as I was then. That’s called the slow decay of the human body baby. Aging is fun! I like waking up to find out I slept wrong and my neck will hurt for 2 days for no reason. I can’t wait to reach my 40’s and have things simply start not working properly anymore. No TB12 diet can stop the slow decay of life. nfl me
Anyway, have a good weekend try not to have an existential crisis.
The way the comic loads, I only saw the first half of it pop up on my screen. Happy I correctly guessed the punchline before scrolling down. 😀
In any event, yeah, I’m with you on how true it actually is. The people who say that probably are taking better care of themselves in the immediate leadup to “the line” than they did when they were younger, though the results may or may not make that obvious thanks to that whole “Aging” thing you mentioned.
Wait until you hit your 50s. At that point, not only do you need to exercise to keep your health at any kind of normal level, but you have to keep from OVER-exercising. And you’d be amazed how easy it is to do that.
Oh, and as a bonus, my body just up and decided it couldn’t handle alcohol any more. One beer and I feel like doggy doo doo for the next two hours. FUN
Lol, wait til you hit your 60’s. If I ever wake up and nothing hurts, I’m pretty sure it means I died and am now a ghost.
I’m a little disappointed that the patch on the jersey saying “Hello, my name is RAMS” isn’t canon, because I really enjoyed that joke.
Usually the 30-somethings aren’t in thr shape of the 20-somethings but if they keep in great shape they’ll have the awareness in experience and NFL-level awareness. Obviously pocket QBs have this but also a lot of defensive players like CBs, Safeties and Linemen can play their best ball in their 30’s.
The vast majority of receivers and running backs on the other hand…
Dave, I saw this and thought of your Snyder comics:

I can relate to the neck part, you’ll never know when and where your body will shift to while dreaming.
