Week 1’s Sunday Night Football game will be Bears @ Rams. It will not be Cowboys vs Giants. Not even WFT vs Eagles. No NFC East teams involved.
I am genuinely thrilled to see it.

Now I don’t have to stay up late to watch my Eagles lose muhahaha.
Thank God and is it just me or do the Eagles not have a single SNF game ? But I’m happy where I’m at the Ravens have the maximum primetime games and they will all be good
Not only do they not have a SNF game, it’s the first time since NBC has the SNF rights that the Eagles don’t appear. It’ll also be the first time in *12 years* that SNF won’t feature Eagles-Cowboys (although MNF will).
I’m surprised they didn’t put Browns-Chiefs in primetime. I expect the Browns to lose, but I also expect that to be a good game. Bears-Rams doesn’t seem to have a lot of interesting things going for it unless Fields wins the starting job out of camp.
Fields would have to be pretty awful to not beat out Andy Dalton honestly. Also it’s the first game for Matthew Stafford on the Rams. It’s not Browns-Chiefs, but I’m guessing CBS fought hard to get that matchup for week 1.
Donald would like to welcome Justin Fields to the NFL. If Dalton plays instead, you have my condolences Bears fans.
I was kind of shocked to see Dallas get the nod to play Tampa Bay on opening night, but I’m kind of excited to see how that one plays out. I feel for Dak though. First game back from an injury and he has to play against that defense on primetime. Not ideal.
And McCarthy always blows it against good defenses.

Wow unrelated but i just realized your prediction for the lions in one of the cartoon picks (They will go 8-8 and sneak into the playoffs/keep Matt patricia) was basically what happened to the Bears.
Eagles purposefully tanking SNF week 17 soured them forever.
Her microphone logo immediately had me singing the old ESPN jingle “E…S…P… INNNN YOUR FACE”
which always sounded like E…S…PEE INNNN YOUR FACE!
Given the Eagles records in SNF games , I am particularly happy at this outcome.
