No One Can Do A Pushup Like Nick Foles
Did you know that Nick Foles’ last name is actually a condensed version of “Fills Holes”?
Makes a lot of sense, doesn’t it?
Nick Foles apparently had the opportunity to become the Browns starting QB for the 35th pick in the 2018 draft pick. That’s not a bad deal for the Eagles honestly. But because the Eagles are run like a competent organization they actually asked their tripod of a backup QB who gave them a super bowl if he was cool with the trade. Foles said no. He’d rather serve in heaven than rule in hell. I gotta admit, pretty impressed at Foles’s stance there. Could have made lots more money, could have gotten to play ball presumably as the initial starter for at least a season, and there would be little pressure to be the hero since presumably the Browns would have still drafted a QB and Foles already achieved the pinnacle of football last season. That’s a tough thing to turn down. Yeah, he would have had to live in Cleveland for part of the year, but Cleveland isn’t quite as terrible as everyone says. It’s not great, but it isn’t Detroit.
Foles chose Philly. I like it. I mean, I don’t, because Foles is good, but I like that he’s now at peace with his achievements and has chosen to sail into the distance as a legend in Philly rather than go and sputter the rest of his seasons getting beat up on bad teams. So many perennial backups try for years to finally have that chance to start again and save their careers…look at Josh McCown. By the time he resurfaced in Chicago most of us forgot he even existed. Nick Foles had that chance, and he whispered no. Then he whipped out his massive dong and continued to get free food at every restaurant in Philly for the rest of his life.
Big Dick Nick is living the Alex Moran Blue Mountain State dream. Win a championship, stay a backup, be a legend. What a time to be alive.
The best part about Nick Foles winning the eagles a SB is the 2013 Foles Fanboys were right when they said he’d win them a SB….. Also the QB Andy Reid drafted finally won a SB….without him. So many weird things that lead to it.
And proving that passing yards title curse to be true for another year as well as making sure Jason Peters does not end up with same number of rings as Joe Thomas.
When you said Cleveland isn’t Detroit, I automatically thought of this (which you might have been referencing, who knows): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZzgAjjuqZM
fun times in Cleveland again
still Cleveland
Love that 2008 YouTube nod
Also, had Foles accepted the trade, his best cave scenario would have been Steve Beuerlein.
Bounce from crappy team to crappy team. Have 1 magic season. Get forgotten about.
It’s the smart move from his point of view. He’s got a great chance now to kickstart his career and become a proper starter someone. He probably only has *one* chance though, and going to the Browns who are (a) a dumpster fire and make a QBs life as hard as possible and (b) were definitely taking a QB #1 is not the opportunity to be a long term starter that he wants.
NFL Top 100 is totally wack this season. How they rating Watson over Rivers, like what do even mean? This man has passed for over 4000 yet again, 10 interceptions, and 96.0 rating. But no, lets give the rookies QB one because he ran and passed well for 4 games. I mean sure, Watson should go off this season and play very well, and no hate to him. But these players putting my man below a rookie who played 1/4 of the season, unacceptable.
If they don’t put Joey Bosa in the Top 20 I’m starting a petition to ban the NFL. This offseason is just too much
Dude, I’m so freakin’ with you. I’m a birds fan, and the rank Fletcher Cox like 31 spots lower than last year, and below a ton of other DT’s despite the fact that he’s the second best DT in the frigg’n league. And they put Lane Johnson in the 90’s despite the fact that he’s one of the best tackles in the league, and they rank Malcolm Jenkins lower than last year. I will definitely sign your petition.
Yeah that’s pretty dumb. Lane Johnson is easily in the Top 30. I guess it just depends on the players who versed him and voted. I also just saw Case Keenum was ranked higher than Rivers. Look, I understand. Keenum had a hell of a season, but bitch, you really going to rank a backup QB who exploded one year over a longetime vet that has given you nothing but great play.
Just another reason why I want my teams success (but probably won’t get it)
It’s always wack to begin with.
Lol at getting mad about the NFL top 100 list
save your outrage for something worthwhile
Dave, outraging about things that are worthwhile isn’t fun. Everyone’s split on every political view, and it leads to arguments. However, nobody is going to disagree that Lane Johnson is a top 5 NFL Tackle (in no particular order: Jason Peters, Tyron Smith, Trent Williams, Lane Johnson, Andrew Whitworth), Or that Phillip Rivers is better than a rookie that only won 4 games.
The players voted for him. They think he’s better than Rivers. He went toe to toe with Tom Brady & nearly beat the Patriots & he carved up Seattle’s defense & forced Russell Wilson to win a shootout. The players saw the talent & took notice. Remember, the media or fans have nothing to do with the NFL Top 100 List. It is completely voted on by the players.
YEAH BUT PLAYERS HAVE RECENCY BIAS
Remember when Nick Foles caught a pass for a touchdown in the Superbowl and Tom Brady dropped a pass in a Superbowl?
In Tom’s defense, he’d never handled a fully-inflated football before….
(I will continue to make that joke until I die….)
Foles did have a bad run with the Rams a few years ago. He learned.
it was “the rams a few years ago” NO ONE had a good run with them then
I thought he was doing the Zohan’s no hands push ups.
Backup QB >>>>> 99.9% of other jobs
Backup QBs can make pretty good money and don’t take nearly the same punishment as the starters.
why does nick foles have a big dick? at this point I get the jokes being made, I just don’t get where they came from. did he say something on social media about his penis size or something?
https://www.crossingbroad.com/2014/05/apparently-nick-foles-has-the-biggest-dck-on-the-eagles.html
I wonder how Carson Wentz feels about this? How will this impact the inevitable Nick Foles statue they put up?
Good for him the best job I can think about in America is a back up qb. You get millions of $ a year you don’t get hit in games and you don’t get hit in practice. No CTE no pressure unless your leader goes down. He is smart $8 million a year is plenty
And in his current situation the only way he could lose the love of Eagles fans is if in the final play of a different super bowl he went full heel and came out in a cowboys jersey.
I think it would’ve been better for everyone if he had gone there. This is going to be instant QB controversy next year, and not what Wentz needs, the fanbase will be at his throat after the first pre-season game. This is Philadelphia after all.
No, he made the right choice. He chose to live a comfortable life, collect a steady paycheck and maintain his good health by not taking on the higher stress levels and greater amounts of hits (body and publicity) that he would have at Cleveland…..plus, Cleveland sucks. lol
