Happy 100th comic everyone! If you told me last march that over a year later I’d still be drawing football comics, and my 100th comic would be about Aaron Hernandez possibly killing someone, I would have told you “God I love football.”
Anyway, for the 100th comic, I decided to give you folks a little something, a blog post detailing the creative process behind making a comic: http://daveartlocker.blogspot.com/2013/06/the-draw-play-process.html.
I’m also going to do a little Q&A thing for my next blog post, so ask me anything! Post any questions you have about the comic that you’d like me to answer in the comments, and I’ll get to them when I make the blog post!
Hey Dave!
I’ve been reading your comics for some time and I have to admit this is my favorite site for football humor, I love the drawings and the jokes. Keep up the great work!
So, from all the things you’ve drawn, which one is your favorite? (mine are the Flacco gummy bears and all the team logos as Peyton Manning.)
I was wondering when you were gonna do a joke about about this. Also I love the reference to Ray Lewis, classic!
I can see you sleeping…
Is your day job at all football-related, or is it just for fun?
It should have been Pollard
I may be a horrible person for thinking this, but doesn’t the fact that the Patriots released Hernandez because of his involvement make this comic even better?
If he turns out to be the killer, it’s less funny, but we’re in that ever so short time period between hearing that someone got screwed up and finding out what the screw up was, so I might as well take advantage of it.
What would it take for you to root for Philly?
Who’s your Superbowl XLVIII pick? Also, what do you think about the whole pistol-option running QB offense thing that’s popped up the last year or two? Destined to fade or a lasting part of NFL offense now?
I had to look back, maybe this is what really happened.
